SERVICE ADVISOR

Currently hiring for a SERVICE ADVISOR to join our team.

Can you leverage your superb organizational skills from previous experience to assist clients, direct technicians, and support a great team in a positive environment?

SUMMARY

  • As a service advisor, you will oversee, schedule, and advise service technicians including plumbers, HVAC refrigeration mechanics, and electricians.
  • You will advise residential customers on products, service, pricing, scheduling and quotations.
  • You will ensure customer service by coordinating maintenance, repair and installation of equipment in an efficient manner.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Must place a high priority on customer service, completing projects on time while maintaining the quality of job performance
  • Is detail orientated and enjoys looking at a project or job and understanding / coordinating all the moving parts.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Has experience with problem-solving and exhibits sound judgement.
  • Is reliable and will assist wherever they are needed.
  • Ensure clear concise direction is given to technicians
  • Identify technician and customer needs to facilitate efficient service.
  • Review service calls and quotes to verify technical accuracy
  • Prepare and deliver quotes to customers
  • Ensure all service work orders are invoiced out in a timely manner with monthly reconcile.
  • Work with Service Dispatcher and Managers to assign service calls and coordinate scheduling of technicians.

JOB ASSETS

Serious consideration will be given to those candidates that have most of or all of the following qualifications, attributes and experience:

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Communicate with customers and employees clearly in an oral and written fashion.
  • Minimum 5 years experience working in a service based industry.
  • Understands assessment of risk in making decisions.
  • Demonstrates the value of being able to work under pressure and still maintain quality assurance and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of computer skills (Word, Excel, Internet, Outlook, QuickBooks)

ADDITIONAL JOB ASSETS

  • A mechanical aptitude and understanding of mechanical systems for buildings and homes.
  • Red Seal Certification in one or more of Plumbing, Electrical or Refrigeration.
  • Gas A or B license

RESIDENTIAL HVAC TECHNICIAN

Qualifications – the ideal candidate should have, but not limited to, the following skills, attributes and experience:

  • Residential HVAC service and installation experience
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and with others
  • Journeyperson certificate
  • Gas fitters license
  • Red Seal certification
  • Valid Manitoba drivers’ license
  • Open to learning and advancing skill set

PLUMBING APPRENTICE – ALL LEVELS

Qualifications – the ideal candidate should have the following skills, attributes and experience:

  • Good communication skills, able to work well with others
  • Kind, courteous, and respectful at all times.
  • Organized and punctual
  • Measure, cut, bend and thread pipes using hand and power tools or machines
  • Install, repair and maintain domestic, commercial or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems
  • Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures in walls and floors
  • Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement or soldering, brazing and welding equipment
  • Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
  • Open to learning and advancing skill set
  • Valid Manitoba drivers’ license
